The Vice Chancellor, University of the Punjab Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood paid a visit to the Centre for High Energy Physics. Prof. Dr. Rashid Ahmed, Director Centre for High Energy Physics and Senior Faculty Members of CHEP give a warm welcome to Worthy Vic Chancellor at Centre for High Energy Physics.
ONE TREE ONE STUDENT CAMPAIGN
Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood participated in the tree plantation campaign “One student One Tree” and planted a sapling in the Lawn of Centre for High Energy Physics underscoring the University's commitment to environmental sustainability.

The students of the Centre for High Energy Physics actively participated in the "One Student One Tree Campaign," demonstrating their dedication to environmental conservation.
INAUGURATION OF NRPU LAB AT CENTRE FOR HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS
A significant highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the NRPU Lab at the Centre for High Energy Physics. The Vice Chancellor inaugurated the NRPU Lab and expressed appreciation to Prof. Dr. Rashid Ahmed, the Director of the Centre for High Energy Physics, for his exemplary efforts in securing the NRPU and advancing research initiatives within the department.
Following the inauguration, a cake cutting ceremony took place at the NRPU Lab to mark its inauguration, symbolizing the celebration of academic achievement and research advancement within the Centre for High Energy Physics.
MEETING WITH FACULTY MEMBERS
The Vice-Chancellor presided over a meeting with the faculty members of Centre for High Energy Physics. Various aspects have been discussed during meeting related to Scope of High Energy Physics, new degree programs and further enhancing quality of education & research at Centre for High Energy Physics.
The visit concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the University of the Punjab's commitment to excellence in research, education, and environmental stewardship.
