Links between industry and academia is need of the hour, PU VC


LAHORE: (Saturday, April 27, 2024): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood has said that promoting links between industry and academia is need of the hour. He was addressing Punjab University College of Pharmacy’s 10th degree awarding ceremony here on Saturday.

On this occasion, PUCP Principal Dr Atif Raza, Registrar Dr Ahmad Islam, faculty members, students and their parents were present. In his address, the VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said that due to the high educational standards of the College of Pharmacy, students from other countries also come to study here. He said that the college’s MoUs with DRAP, Primary and Secondary Health and various industries would promote the practical skills of the students.

He congratulated the students who received degrees and medals to their parents and teachers. He said that the role of students in the development of the country is very important. Dr Atif Raza said that a total of 229 undergraduate and 27 MPhil scholars have been awarded degrees while six gold medals were awarded to the outstanding students. He hoped that with hard work and devotion the graduates would earn fame for them and college as well.
